CALMAT® - AGAINST SCALE AND RUST

Calmat® is an eco-friendly, salt-free alternative to water softeners which works on patented Calmat-impulse technology based on principle of physical water treatment. Special electronic impulses change the crystallization process of liquid calcium and magnesium and does not allow it to stick to pipe surfaces.
Protects your complete piping system. Does not allow scale formation and removes earlier formed scales too.
Eco-Friendly – No use of salt, chemicals, and no regeneration required. Very low electricity consumption.
Developed and manufactured in Germany.
Non-magnetic and maintenance-free.
Suitable for all types of pipes: Copper, GI, SS, CI, PVC, PEX, Composite etc.
Available for pipe diameters 1 ½” and 3”.
Certifications by renowned international institutions viz. The German TUV, The German CE, UL rating for the switching      adapters etc.
Easy Do-It-Yourself installation.
Available in more than 50 countries world-wide.
5 years international warranty

CALMAT® – WHAT IT DOES ?

Calmat® stops scaling in pipes and appliances

Calmat® modifies the structure of the calcium crystals and does not allow it to stick to the wall of plumbing pipes and washes off with water as fine powder.

Calmat® gently sanitizes the piping system

Calmat® removes scale deposits already formed over the years by reversing the natural resolving process and slowly sanitizes the pipe surface by removing the scales.

Calmat® protects against rust damage and perforation

Calmat® patented impulse technology generates an electrophoresis effect and produces a metal-carbonate layer which acts as protective layer to inhibit rust and corrosion.

ADVANTAGES OF USING CALMAT®

Stops hard scale formation in plumbing line. Maintains pipe diameter and designed water pressure.
Less time and energy spent on keeping your home neat and tidy. Faster cleaning of bathrooms and kitchens. Reduced      expenditure on cleaning agents and chemicals.
Prevents formation of insoluble soap curds and ensures a better bathing experience.
Lesser consumption of washing detergents and better life of textile fibers.
Inhibits development of bacteria and bio-film in water due to scale formation.
Skin and hairfeels softer and healthier.
Lesser expenses on repair and maintenance of household appliances.
Increased life and better performance of electrical appliance like water heaters, electric kettles. Reduced energy      expenditure.
Important minerals like Calcium and Magnesium remain in water, making it healthier and tasting better.

FAQ’s

Which pipe material can be treated by Calmat® ?
Calmat® works with every pipe material: Copper, GI, CI, PP, PE, PEX, PVC, Composite pipes, etc.

Does the Calmat® treatment has a softening effect on the water?
The water does not lose any essential minerals (calcium and magnesium). The composition of the water remains unaltered, but it feels softer. The measured hardness degree is the same before and after the treatment. It conditions the water which makes it lose all challenges related to hardness, in addition to scale and rust removal function.

Do copper or synthetic pipes need a scale protection device at all ?
Yes. Copper and plastic pipes are prone to calcifications too. The smoother a surface is the longer it can resist the process of calcification. However, once the scale formation starts, it takes equal time for further layers to form one over other.

How long does Calmat® take to sanitize the pipes?
Calmat® removes scale and rust slowly and without affecting the pipes. The cleaning process takes about as long as it took the incrustations to develop.

Up to which degree of water hardness can Calmat® be applied ?
Calmat® operates within a high performance frequency range. It can thus be successfully applied even on water of particularly high degree of hardness.

I heard of similar products and that they don’t work. Can you explain ?
There are similar looking products to Calmat® in the market that claim to do the job, but they don’t. Almost all other products on the market are working with inductive (electromagnetic) technologies. You can easily recognize them by their cables. Those cables run in a loops from the electronic unit – to the pipe and back into the unit. In comparison, Calmat® works exclusively with capacitive impulses that guarantee a stable output. Its impulse cables end on the pipes, similar to antennas. Furthermore, regardless of inductive or capacitive impulses: Calmat® utilizes far wider frequencies of 3000 – 32000 Hz (3-32 KHz) and operates with energy levels at 24 Volt. The patented technology is developed and engineered by CWT, Germany, who are the oldest manufacturer of physical water treatment and have more than 30 years of experience in fine-tuning the technology with all major international certifications.

Which voltage range is the electronic plug-in power supply unit suitable for ?
Calmat® power supply units are suitable for voltage range between 87 – 260 Volt and 50 – 60 Hz.

What are the costs for the electric consumption?
The annual power consumption costs is meagre $5-7 (4-5 Euro) per year (depending on the unit size) as it consumes negligible electricity of 2.5 Watt.

Is it difficult to install Calmat®?
Calmat is designed as a DIY product. It sits outside the pipe and there is no need to cut the pipe. The installation is very easy and takes only 10 minutes. No tools are required.

How long does the Calmat® effect last?
Time: The effect lasts 48 hours in cold water and up to 7 days in warm water
Distance: The piping system is treated up to a length of approximately 2 km.

What kind of maintenance is required for Calmat® ?
Once installed, Calmat® works absolutely maintenance-free. It just needs a secured power supply.

What do I do if there is no power supply available ?
Alternative power supply needs to be arranged in such cases. As power consumption is very low, alternative source of supply would also not cost much.
